In this week's Cantina Conversation Steve and Ken talk with Tim Lee. Tim studying ecology and evolution at UC San Diego, where he graduated magna cum laude in biology. He went on to complete his PhD at UC Davis, developing simulation and analytical models of population dynamics before becoming a comedian. After finding himself bored in his profession he turned to comedy and has found his community of nerds. He is now hosting Nerd Comedy Night in Carlsbad, CA.
The conversation covers how Tim got started in comedy and we have some deeper discussions on the state of the scientific community. Tim passionately discussed his thoughts on the opioid crisis, global warming, fossil fuels, and plastics. We had a great time with Tim and are sure many nerds will enjoy this conversation.

They speak with him about the process of obtaining an artist, the Kickstarter process, and building an audience by getting backers. He discusses how he used Facebook groups to find the right artist to collaborate with. You want to make sure that the artist and writer are both passionate about the project and believe on it's success. They used writerduet.com to collaborate and communicate on the individual issues.
Sean discusses some of his methods for developing characters and filling in the gaps between main points.

She has published numerous articles and book chapters on the social impact of online gaming and serves on the board of DiGRA (Digital Games Research Association).
